  1.     This program disk will help AGA machine users get some added 
  2. compatibility out of their older software. I can't guarantee that ALL programs
  3. will work on the machines, but a good few can be revived.
  4.  
  5.     Don't forget many supposedly incompatible programs will work on the
  6. AGA machines by suitable adjustment of the boot options. (Hold down both mouse
  7. buttons when booting).
  8.  
  9. Contents of the disk:
  10.  
  11.     ***** 1: ReloKick 1.3 (also known as Kick 1.3) *****
  12.  
  13.     This is a shadow ROM of the KickStart 1.3 files. It is intended for 
  14. users of KickStart 2.0 and KickStart 3.0. It may work on the CD32 when drives 
  15. become available. (I have heard that users of ECS Amigas can use the program
  16. to get some programs (like SWIV) which demand the original chipset to work. I 
  17. can't confirm this though).

  19.     Please note;
  20.  
  21.     ReloKick is NOT pirate software, it was produced in cooperation with
  22. Commodore and was distributed by CU Amiga Magazine.
  23.  
  24.     How do I use it?
  25.  
  26.     The files you need are in the drawer ReloKick, compressed using DMS.
  27. To extract the files use the WRITE option of dms as follows:

  29.     dms WRITE DEVICE_NAME:kick13.dms to df0:
  30.  
  31.     All the files will now be installed on a bootable disk.
  32.  
  33.     When you want to use the program, reset your machine and insert the
  34. ReloKick disk in df0: The program will boot and load a grey screen. When you
  35. get the message

  37.     Everything OK Booting Up
  38.  
  39.     The screen will blank and turn white. Now remove the ReloKick disk,
  40. the screen will now flash grey and the old-fashioned KickStart 1.3 logo will
  41. appear.

  43.     (If you don't remove the disk before the machine completes a reset
  44. you will get an error message. Don't worry, a further soft-reset will clear
  45. up the error).
  46.  
  47.     ReloKick remains resident until the machine undergoes a cold-reset.
  48.  
  49.     ***** 2: AGA software patches. *****
  50.  
  51.     These programs were supplied with Amiga Format recently. They seem to
  52. be intended for the A1200, but I have got the Heimdall and Powermonger patches
  53. to work on the A4000. I haven't got the R-Type patch to work.

  55.     Patches are included for:

  59.     Powermonger World War I data disk
  60.  
  61.     Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker
  62.  
  63.     R-Type
  64.  
  65.     Shadowlands (but it could be Shadowworlds - I don't have the program)

  67.     Heimdall

  69.     Last Ninja 3

  71.     Speedball 2

  73.     Naturally these patches will only work on ORIGINAL versions of the games
  74. - so tough luck pirates.

  76.     How do I use them?
  77.  
  78.     Place these files onto a disk, or your harddisk. To launch them click
  79. on the icon. The screen will fill with horizontal coloured bars. On the A1200
  80. they should stop moving, on the A4000 wait until the disk drive light goes out.

  82.     When the program has loaded, insert the boot disk of the game in 
  83. question and click on the mouse button. It should load as normal.

  85.     A final note. I didn't create these programs so don't blame me if they
  86. don't work.
